drywall

I’ve heard the horror stories about drywall dust. What can be done to minimize the problem?

Randymars Painters and Contractors does everything possible to keep your job clean and confining dust to the work area. We remove drywall scrap and broom sweep floors after the hanging phase. After the finish phase we scrape and broom sweep the floors. When a project is in or next to a current living area a shop vacuum is used to eliminate airborne dust that can result from broom sweeping. We also use drops and plastic partitions to protect floors and isolate work areas. Homeowners can help by removing as many items as possible from work areas. It’s easier to move things, especially decorative items, than it is to clean them. We will also suggest that you turn off your furnace/air conditioner during the sanding process. When appropriate, we will also use a low dust joint compound which helps eliminate airborne dust from leaving work areas.
